TMP Development / Usage TipsThe current version is v.1.2.2. For the list of new features introduced in v.1.2, see Features. Configuring ColorsWhen configuring colors, keep your color scheme as simple as possible. TMP has more than 100 item types (UI elements) that can be assigned unique colors - we don't recommend aiming to change too many color assignments! Here are some tips for keeping the interface usable and consistent, when selecting colors.
Color Selector Details
The six colors in the top row are dark colors that contrast well with the remaining colors, for legibility. For instance, if you use primarily light backgrounds, choose your background from the two bottom rows and either select the text color from the top row or use Auto - vice versa if you use dark backgrounds. You might find that the pre-selected colors don't quite meet the range of colors you need. If you have a 16-bit color device, use either the RGB (sliders) or #RGB color pickers, instead of the Pal (palette) picker. The Pal color picker is probably the easiest to use, but it is also the most limited color picker. If you are comfortable with hex color values, the #RGB picker is the best one to use. A good way to tweak colors is to select an existing color (either from the pre-set swatches, an existing item color or one of the pickers) that is close to what you have in mind, then open either the RGB or #RGB dialog to edit the color. How to read the binary clockIf you are comfortable with binary numbers, the binary clock should be a snap!
The display contains four rows of dots. Each row corresponds to one digit of the time (hh:mm), and is read as a binary number with highlighted dots representing '1's and non-highlighted dots representing '0's. The example shows the time 22:09 or 10:09 PM (note that the binary clock uses 24-hour format only). RadarThe following forecast is only an estimate. Details may change at any time. Bug fixes are not listed here (they are listed in the change notes in final versions).
There are several highly-desired enhancements that, while not included above, we plan to work very hard at putting into some not-too-distant release. Some of these are: week numbers, item icons, contact linking. If you would like to help, please contact us with your view of what the highest priority items (not necessarily from that list) should be. Your vote counts! |
